Noseneighbor

Well, it happened again, on a smaller scale.  I had as many has 162 views on my DA page in a single day.  About 3 days of much higher than average visits.  However, there are no significant increase in the views on any of my posted art. Why did they hit my main page?  (Or what brought them here to start with?) What did they hope to see? What keeps interest enough to have them actually look at the gallery? Does the counter just freak out on occasion to make you think that many people cruised through to check out my amateurish drivel?

I was pleased to see the my DA page had a few more visitors when I looked on Oct 31.  Later just as the day ends, I was shocked to see 192 people stopped by.  (Normal is 10-15 per day.)  Then the next night I was floored to see that 449 visits happened. No complaints, but I really wonder what created the traffic.  I have no featured works with any group that I'm aware of.  I am a very long way away from making something that would become a DD.  I don't see any image collecting views.  So why the visits? If you know, please enlighten this guy sitting in the dark here. Thank you and I'm pleased to see you.

I have had the opportunity to seek out some art galleries and shows recently.   The shows are jam packed with those with vision but no means to display in bigger venues.  So many that are skilled and talented who make beautiful pieces more for the enjoyment than the profit. The galleries and museums have displayed many, and I mean many, works that appear to be created by 10 year olds whose only talent is in articulated speaking.  They seem to have the ability to make their messes on canvas seem to be inspired and important works of fine art to the likes of;  the Dayton Art Institute, Columbus Museum, (re-opening this month,) Cincinnati Art,
